A tight, finely honed piece of solid musicianship, while remaining true to the gloomy and grim heritage of Scandinavian style black metal, it is complimented by minimal use of atmospheric keyboards adding an ambient feel to the music, but not overpowering or muddling the mix, and certainly not bombastic or intrusive playing or sounds. Occasionally flutes pervade the mist of sound, as do baritone hymnal chants, as if the ghosts of a ship full of Vikings were singing along with these melancholy tunes.

Overall, if you want something done in the classic vein of Emperor, Enslaved, Dissection, etc., but with a pinch of Dark Throne and Mayhem, look no further. It's all here- Anti-Christian thoughts and ideals, speed and mid to slow tempo, ambient keys and Nordic chants, flutes and much more, all skillfully honed to perfection by people who care about their music and their image.
